Spotlight Chamber Concerts: Leia Zhu, violin & Benjamin Engeli, piano

The series of Spotlight Chamber Concerts begins with a recital from star violinist Leia Zhu and pianist Benjamin Engeli. Leia made her debut as soloist with the LSO and Sir Simon Rattle in August 2021, aged 14 (and a year later than originally planned due to the pandemic). Now Artist in Residence with the London Mozart Players, she is fast becoming an international sensation, known for her musical maturity, expressive interpretations and dazzling technique.

She is joined by the brilliant Swiss pianist Benjamin Engeli, who has appeared as a soloist with orchestras such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and Tonhalle Zurich. They perform works by Beethoven, Szymanowski, Fauré and Sarasate.

Those aged 25 and under can book free tickets to this concert thanks to the generous support of the Cavatina Chamber Music Trust.
